Hurricane Ike Report

After Hurricane Ike blew across Texas overnight, leaving billions of dollars in damage and a few dead. Officials report that the water only peaked at 13.5 feet, which is a lot better than the forecasted 20-25 feet. The state had already been evacuated. Ike roared ashore at 110 winds mph. Rescue crews were frustrated, but vowed to get to the more than 140,000 people who stubbornly stayed behind as soon as they could. Governor Rick Perry had already gave a strong warning to all residents to evacute. Some people stayed in order to protect their neighborhoods from theft.
