A 85 year-old woman in Springhill Township, Pennsylvania, stopped an attempted burglary in her house when she forced the burglar to call 911. Leda Smith started keeping a .22 caliber handgun in her bedroom when her neighbor's house was robbed a few weeks ago. Smith took the gun and aimed it at the 17 year olf burglar, forcing him to call 911. She even kept watch while the police were on their way. The boy is going to be chaged with attempted burglary in juvenile court. When asked how she felt about this, she said "It was exciting. I just hope I broke up the burglary ring because they have been hitting a lot of places around here."
Note: Springhill is 45 miles south of Pittsburg.
